Next Actions:

  1. Put together a list of tools/resources available to hackers.
  2. Settle on a name
  3. Create an email to send out to potential core scientists (idea people).
  4. Pick a date.

Emphasis on making things, solving problems, use of hardware tools.

Potential judging/awards at the end?

Find sponsors for food? Consolidated meal-times help keep momentum.

Materials/tools sponsors? Makerbot? Arduino?

How do we curate the right mix of people?

  • An equal mix of sciencits, hardware and software hackers, designers.
  • Start by recruiting a core group of idea people (scientists)
  • Possibly limit registration to a set number of people in each category?

Potential for ~5 team work areas.

Space for 60 people, 20 slots reserved for Collab members, leaves ~40 spaces for outside hackers.
