Science Hack Day will take place in the Scott Room in the Guardian offices:

The Guardian

90 York Way

London N1 9AG

We need three things for a good Hack Day. In descending order of importance, they are:

  1. Physical space — preferably one large room.
  2. Bandwidth — the WiFi must flow!
  3. Food and drink — matter that will be converted into geek energy.

We should be well-served in all three at The Guardian building.

Do you have any suggestions for accommodation? Thanks!

Some suggestions, in roughly price order:

Guardian office floor: free(?)

Youth Hostel: http://www.yha.org.uk/find-accommodation/london/hostels/london-st-pancras/index.aspx (~£20)

Palmer's Lodge: http://www.palmerslodge.co.uk/ (~£30) - but a bit of a walk

Travel Lodge: http://www.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_book/hotel_overview.php?hotel_id=258 circa £40-80 depending on time of booking

Hilton Euston: http://www.hilton.co.uk/euston (no idea of cost, but presumably a lot)

Or in general, any hotel near to St Pancras/Kings Cross (and to a lesser extent, Euston) railway stations. Google knows lots.

I'm not involved in the organization of this, though; I've just stayed near there a few times. ;-)
